- Expired!
- 11:00 - 12:30
Maximize your harvest and master the art of summer gardening, especially for growing in a greenhouse. Join us in our No-Dig Education Garden for a focused, practical workshop entirely dedicated to the peak of the growing season. Learn the specific techniques needed to maintain and optimize high-yield crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, eggplants, and peppers. We will show you how to build healthy soil life and cultivate with confidence while the garden reaches its full, lush potential.
What are you going to learn?
🔹 Managing summer crops: Go beyond the basics and delve into the specific needs of heat-loving powerhouses. We cover advanced pruning techniques for tomatoes, vertical support methods for cucumbers and beans, and the secret behind a continuous yield of peppers and eggplants during the hottest months. We take an extensive tour of the Education Garden beds to analyze current successes and challenges. We also discuss how to recognize early signs of pests or diseases.
🔹 No-Dig soil resilience: Learn how to maintain “living soil” during the summer heat. We demonstrate how to manage moisture levels and harvest without disturbing soil structure, and how to use compost to help your plants thrive during their peak production.
🔹 Seasonal advice + Q&A: We discuss tips for the season and how you can start planning your late summer crops so that your garden remains productive well into the autumn.
We look forward to welcoming you to our No-Dig educational garden for an immersive look at midsummer gardening. This workshop is designed to provide you with practical, time-saving skills that will allow you to turn a busy growing season into a record harvest!
