Workshop 'How do I plan my vegetable garden for 2027?'‘
- Oct 04 2026
- Expired!
- 11:00 - 13:00
A new vegetable garden year actually begins in the autumn. What went well in your garden last year? What did you have far too much of – or conversely, far too little of? Which crops do you definitely want to grow again next year? And how do you ensure that in 2027 you have the right crops in the right place at the right time?
During this workshop, we will create a step-by-step plan for your vegetable garden in 2027. We start with a brief look back at 2026. What worked well, and what do you want to do differently next year? Afterwards, you will determine your most important wishes and goals for the new gardening year and make a list of the crops that absolutely must not be missing from your garden.
Next, we look at the layout of your garden. Which crops will go where? And how can you use a bed multiple times throughout the year, so that space is created for the next crop after a harvest?
In the first part of the workshop, we discuss the key principles behind evaluating and planning a vegetable garden. In the second part, you will mainly get to work on your own garden. This way, you will go home with a personal and practical plan to get started in 2027.
What are you bringing?
Bring several photos of your vegetable garden on your phone or tablet, in which all the beds are clearly visible. They don't have to be beautiful photos: they are for yourself only and will not be shared with the group. You will use them during the workshop as a reminder to look back at the layout of your current garden.
Do you already have a plan or sketch of your vegetable garden? Then bring that along too. Don't have a plan? No problem, you can make a simple sketch yourself during the workshop.
